Director for Research
The University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan

Emeritus Professor
The University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan

Wataru Mitsuhashi received the BE degree in Radio Communications Engineering from the University of Electro-Communications in 1969, and the Ph. D. degree in Mathematical Engineering and Information Physics from the University of Tokyo in 1992.

In1969, he joined the Department of Radio-Communications Engineering at the University of Electro-Communications, as a research associate. Since 2004, he was a professor in signal processing at the same university and became emeritus in 2012.

His research interests are in the fields of biomimetic sensing structures, including motion estimation and visual tracking, and target parameter estimation in acoustic measurements.

He was awarded by the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE) Japan in 1990.
