Profile

Prof. Shin-ichi Yamamoto is currently the Trustee and Vice President (Research) at the Okayama University and Emeritus Professor of the Nagoya University, Japan. He was the Guest Professor, Institute of Low Temperature Science, Hokkaido University and the Associate Member of the Science Council of Japan. Previously he held the position of the Trustee and Vice President (Research and International Affairs), the University Advisor, and the dean of the School and the Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences at the Nagoya University.

He qualified as Master and Doctor degree in Agriculture at the Kyoto University. His major research area is Forest Ecology and related areas such as Forest Science.

He was awarded by Japanese Forestry Society Award (2000).
